To ensure growth, development, and care of the many natural science collections held in public trust by the University of Wyoming. We do this by coming together to cross-promote for support of natural history collections, so that they can continue their missions to discover, document, curate, and communicate knowledge of the history of the Earth and its biota, and to make that knowledge accessible to stakeholders, including all citizens of Wyoming, regardless of location.
University of Wyoming Natural History Collection Partnership members support observation, and specimen-based research across the academic community both at the University of Wyoming and globally, through specimen lending programs and data inclusion in global databases like the Global Biodiversity Information Facility.
